While President Obama’s 48-hour visit to Israel is too tight to schedule a trip to Haifa, he will see plenty of Technion innovations. Three projects by Technion researchers and graduates will be part of a presentation to show the president Israel's high-tech side: Prof. Alon Wolf’s search and rescue robotic snake; alumnus Dr. Amit Goffer’s ReWak, an exoskeleton for paraplegics; and a “human” waiter robot, built by middle school students with guidance from the Technion. President Obama will also have the opportunity to inspect the Iron Dome anti-missile system, developed largely by Technion graduates.
